Small boils or sometimes larger ones appear on hands, appear
on hands, face and the body with the onset of summer and rainy seasons. They are
quiet painful. They become red in color and suppurate. The older one disappears
but new one comes up. Such boils can appear in other seasons also but mostly
they appear in summers.
There are several
causes:
Accumulation of sweat in the skin: The body dispels filth
through sweat, but because of any reason sweat accumulates in the skin, boils appear
and the filth comes out through them. During summer when sharp hot wind blows,
lot of dirt settles on the body and blocks the sweating process.
Eating Food Hot in Nature: Eating mangoes, melons, watermelon
etc in excess, increases the heat in body which causes boils.
Synthetic Clothes: Nylon clothes, plastic shoes etc have adverse
effect on the skin and causes boil.
Treatment: Take a
bath two times a day. Take drinks and food which have cooling effect on the
body. Consume blood purifier food which cleanses the blood.
Fullers Clay: To
treat the burns soak fullers clay and then grind it, mix camphor and smear the
body with it. Take a bath after an hour.
Lemon: Lemons are
effective skin cleansers. By applying lemon juice or washing and bathing with
lemon water is useful in various skin diseases like boils, eczema, whelks, and
shingles. The use of lemon is very beneficial in rainy season because there is
marked increase in boils and whelks during that season. Take warm lemon water
daily in the morning at least for 90 days.
Pineapple:
Topical application of pineapple pulp on the boils is useful. Pineapple juice
makes the unhealthy tissue healthy.
Cumin Seeds:
Grind cumin seeds in some water and apply the paste on eczema, boils and on
painful parts. It is useful.
Water: Foment the
swollen part and boils first with hot water for two to three minutes followed
by fomentation with cold water for a minute. In this way, fomentation for about
twelve minutes two times a day in the morning and evening will bring good
result.
Guava: Eating 250
grams of guava every day in the afternoon for thirty days. It will bring relief
from boils and itch. Guava is a bowels cleanser, it remove excess heat from the
body, purifies the blood and heal boils and whelks.
Tamarind: Mash
ripe tamarind in water, strain and drink it. Taking this for few days regularly
will be useful.
Carrots: Apply carrot
poultice on the boils. It lets the coagulated blood on the boils to melt down.
Potato: Drinking
raw potatoes juice is beneficial to treat boils.
Walnut: People
prone to boils should eat four to five walnuts throughout the year.
Henna: Boil henna
in water and washing the boils with it is beneficial to treat boils.
Caraways Seeds: Take
caraway seeds and boil them in water and wash the boils with this water will be
beneficial.
Grind caraway seeds in water and its topical application
will be useful.
Honey: Make a
paste with honey and wheat flour, spread it on piece of cloth and apply it on
the boil.
Mix three tsp of honey in hot water and drink it every day for
few months will be beneficial.
Basil: If a boils
appears inside the nose, smelling grounded basil leaves will be useful.
Heat the coconut oil and basil leaves in equal quantity,
when the water is completely evaporated mix 10 – 12 grams of yellow wax and
stir. A paste will prepared, apply this paste to treat eczema, boils and
whelks.
Indian Lilac (Margosa,
Neem): Grind 35 grams of reddish tender leaves of Indian lilac with rock
salt and eat it empty stomach in the morning, it cleanse the blood and boils
are healed.
Indian lilac bark should be grinded in water; application of
this on boils is beneficial.
Indian lilac (Margosa, Neem) paste is very beneficial to
treat this condition.
Method to Prepare Paste: Grind 200 grams of margosa leaves
without adding water. Heat 100 ml of mustard oil of mustard oil in a copper
vessel. When the oil gets heated, add margosa paste to it. When the paste gets
blackened, let it cool down. Add 5 grams of camphor and 20 grams of yellow wax
and grind it well. The paste is ready.
Camphor: Mix 5
grams camphor in 50 ml of coconut oil and apply it on boils, it check itching. Edible
oil can be used if coconut oil is not available.
Black Pepper:
Grind black pepper in little water and apply it two times a day on small whelks
until they subside.
Red Chili: Boil
red chili powder in oil, strain and apply the oil on boils, it will be useful.
Garlic: Taking ¼ tsp
of juice of the garlic mixed in ¼ cup of hot water three times a day accelerate
the healing of boils.
