Low blood pressure is situation where blood circulation is
slow as the process of arteries throwing off blood in the system weakens. As a
result, the brain and other parts of body don’t get enough nutrition and
quantity of blood also goes down. It is more common among women than men. The main cause is the deficiency of
nutrients, various vitamins like B and C and lack of proteins. The blood
pressure goes low when there is medical illness like anemia, acute vomiting,
typhoid and excessive bleeding.
Low blood pressure results in lack of concentration,
fatigue, laziness, headache, memory loss, vertigo and depression. Whenever, the
blood supply is inadequate in any of the body part, result is pain in that
part, especially head.
Low blood pressure is more dangerous than high blood
pressure.
Natural Remedies that can be helpful in this condition are;
Basil: Take fresh basil leaves and mix them with honey and
take it in the morning empty stomach.
Asafetida: Take asafetida in your daily meals.
Carrot: Carrots are useful in this condition, carrot jam is
very useful. Alternatively, drink carrot juice mixed with honey every day.
Salt: Intake adequate quantity of salt daily, according to
WHO, every day diet must have 1 tea spoon of added salt besides that one can
get naturally from fruits and vegetables.
Fluids: Include more fluids in your diet, if you are
suffering from this condition, drink at least 3 liters of water every day.
Include other liquids like coconut water, pomegranate juice.
Dehydration is main cause of low blood pressure; try to
intake the necessary electrolytes required
to maintain fluid in the body.
Caffeine: Intake of caffeine also helps to boost blood
pressure temporarily, when any person experience sudden fall in blood pressure,
quick action to boost is to have cup of coffee.
Green tea is also a rich source of caffeine. It is known
that intake of caffeine blocks hormones responsible for keep the arteries
widened.
Ginseng: Have ginseng tea 2 -3 times a day, it is beneficial
to increase blood pressure.
Rosemary: Rosemary essential oil helps to increase blood
pressure slightly, take a bath with water mixed with few drops of rosemary
essential oil.
Raisins: Soak 30 raisins in night, following morning eat the
raisin and drink the water. This will increase the blood flow. This should be
consumed every day to control the fluctuations in blood pressure.
Almonds: Almonds helps to control blood pressure, soak 6 -7
almonds in night and on the following morning, peel them and grind to make a
paste and mix in a glass of lukewarm milk. Almonds is rich in omega 3 fatty
acids and must be included in diet.
Basil: Basil helps in controlling blood pressure
fluctuations. Take some basil leaves and grind to make a paste, little water
can be added, strain the juice, take 1 tsp of this juice mixed with ½ tsp of
honey. Take this empty stomach early morning.
Orange Juice: Orange juice helps to maintain normal blood
pressure.
Sitting: Crossing legs while sitting helps to increase blood
pressure. This can be done consistently. This can be helpful in case of
emergencies.
Water: One of the main reasons for low blood pressure is the
decrease in blood volume. Drinking plain water helps to increase blood volume
and helps to check the blood pressure dropping.
Low Carbohydrate Meals: Eating small and low carbohydrate
meals several times a day, as the blood pressure drops sharply after meals.
Cumin: Having black cumin tea once a day also helps people
with low blood pressure.
Cocoa: Cocoa is also good remedy for low blood pressure whenever
any person feels the symptoms of blood pressure take dark chocolate or drink
some hot chocolate drink.
Pomegranate: Pomegranate juice is also very beneficial;
people suffering from low blood pressure should drink it daily or have it as a
whole.
Liquorice: Liquorice is also effective remedy to treat low
blood pressure. Take a teaspoon of dried liquorice powder or stick of liquorice
and boil it in 250 ml of water until it is reduced to half, strain it and drink
it every day to treat the low blood pressure.
