Fenugreek lowers blood sugar after meals, the recommended dosage for fenugreek is between 2.5 to 15 grams daily.

Add fenugreek to food: Some people do like the taste of fenugreek and may opt to add these seeds to food.

Drink fenugreek with hot water: Making a fenugreek tea seems to produce the best results.

Crush 2.5 grams of fenugreek seeds, then put the seeds into a cup and pour 9 ounces of boiling water over them, stir well and let the fenugreek tea cool up to drinking temperature.

Consult the doctor before adding fenugreek to your diet, fenugreek interacts with a variety of medications prescribed for diabetes as well as some blood thinners. It is essential that you check with your doctor before adding to your diet. Always check with your doctor first before discontinuing or adding any medication or supplement.

Fenugreek is considered as safe for adults when it is used in right amount in the food. Person may experience some gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, gas and upset stomach and may also experience some respiratory side effects such as wheezing and coughing

Do not take fenugreek for more than six months. Fenugreek is not considered to be safe for pregnant women and children. Do not take fenugreek  if you are pregnant, nursing or planning to become pregnant. Do not give in fenugreek to children.

To make fenugreek tea we need 1 teaspoon full of fenugreek seeds, 1 cup of water, few tea leaves and 2 tsp of honey.

Take a pan, add water and allow it to boil then add crushed fenugreek seeds and allow it to boil for another 5 minute. Cover it with a lid then filter this into your cup add honey and mix well.
