Ingredients: Soaked Bengal gram 1 cup, finely chopped with a cabbage 1/2 cup, Gram flour ¼ cup, chopped mint leaves 2 tsp, chopped spinach leaves 2 tsp, turmeric powder one pinch, coriander powder ½ tea spoon, low fat curd 2 tsp, oil 2 tea spoon and salt as per taste.

Method: Put soaked Bengal gram in grinder with 2 tsp of water to form paste.

Put the paste into bowl and cabbage, mint leaves, spinach leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curd, salt and gram flour.

Mix all the ingredients well and divide the mixture into 5 – 6 equal parts, shape them into round patty.

Take non-stick pan grease it with oil put the patty on them and cook them on low flame. Cook them until patty becomes golden brown on both sides.

This cabbage and spinach patty snack will keep diabetes under control. Try to include this diabetes friendly snack in your food as often as possible.

2. Bitter Gourd Cutlet:

Bitter melon also knows as bitter gourd is a unique vegetable which can be used as medicine. Bitter gourd lowers blood glucose as it contains the chemical called keratin which reduces high blood glucose levels so it’s very good for people with diabetes.

Bitter Gourd influences the glucose metabolism all over the body unlike other medicinal drugs which targets one organ or tissue.

Bitter Gourd juice can be taken every morning empty stomach to lower down the blood sugar.

Ingredients: ½ cup grated bitter gourd, ¼ cup of grated carrot, ¼ cup of low fat honey, ¼ cup of bread powder, 2 tsp of coriander leaves, salt as per taste, 2 tsp of oil.

Method: Take a bowl put grated bitter gourd after squeezing water from them, add grated carrot, bread powder mix, coriander, salt, you can also put grated cheese and mix them well. Prepare cutlets out of them.

Take the Pan put oil and place the cutlet on the pan and cook them until they become golden brown on both sides.

By taking these diabetes snacks high blood sugar levels in the body can be reduced.
