Memory
Power does not increase with medicines, in the universe of commerce, medicine to
improve the memory power are sold on the basis of advertisement. In fact, these medicines do little good. Most of
such medicines contain more than 50% sugar syrup and the contents are not pure.
Repeated advertisement and publicity create a psychological effect on the minds
of people. If these medicines could improve the memory power, all the rich
people would have become vigorous and would have a dominating memory.
Memory
power can be improved only through concentration, revision of the matters stored
in the mind and by remaining healthy and following laws of nature.
From health
point of view the reason for a weak memory are physical and mental debility,
indulgence in unnatural sex activity, freckles an lewdness.
The
following items to increase memory through food are beneficial:
Apple: Apples
energize the memory. People with a weak brain and sinews and students who do not
have retentive memory should eat one or two un-peeled apples by chewing them
thoroughly daily fifteen minutes before meal.
Indian
Gooseberry: Eating preserved Indian gooseberry daily help to energize the
memory.
Take green Indian
gooseberry juice in 30 ml water when you are half way through the meal. Take remaining
after eating the meal for twenty one days. It will provide strength to heart
and mind, will also improve physical health.
Carrots:
Eat seven almonds daily in the morning followed by 125 ml carrot juice mixed
with 500 ml of milk. It will be beneficial.
Wheat: The
juice of wheat grass improves the memory.
Clarified
Butter: Head massage done with clarified butter boosts the memory.
Almonds:
Soak ten almonds overnight. Peel them in the morning and eat them with 12 grams
of butter or sugar candy, it will strengthen the brain.
Grind seven
almonds and 10 grams of sugar candy and aniseed; take this mixture along with
milk at night for forty days. It will improve the brain and memory.
Grind
finely ten almonds and mix in 500 ml of milk and heat it to three boils, allow
it to cool down, mix sugar and drink.
Grind
almonds and aniseed in equal quantity. Take a tsp with cool water before
bedtime. It will improve the memory and will provide strength.
Aniseed:
Pound aniseed lightly, remove its husk and sieve. Take a one tsp of it each in
the morning and evening with cool water or hot milk. It will revitalize the
memory and will keeps the mind cool.
Black
Pepper: Take 8 corns of black pepper with 30 grams of butter and sugar daily. It
energizes the memory and keeps the mind cool. It also provides physical
strength.
Basil: Prepare
a refrigerant with following ingredients – ten basil leaves, five corns of
black pepper, five almonds, a little honey and water. Drinking it boosts the memory.
Rose Petal
Jam: Take it three times a day, it will improve memory.
Mango: Mix
a cup of mango juice, ¼ cup of milk, and one tsp of ginger juice, add sugar and
drink it every day. It provides strength to the brain and cures chronic headaches
due to debilitated brain. It also keeps body healthy.
Black Lentil:
Soak overnight 30 grams of black lentil. Grind in the morning to a paste, mix
it with milk and sugar and drink it. It is beneficial for the brain.
Sesame
Seeds: It contains protein. Prepare balls of sesame seed and jaggery in equal
quantity. Take a ball in the morning as well as evening with milk. It improves
the memory and removes tension.
Walnuts: Shape
of walnut is like brain so eating them is beneficial for brain.
Coriander: Take
125 grams of grounded coriander seeds and boil them in ½ liter of water. When
water is reduced to ¼ strain it, add 120 grams of sugar candy and heat it
again. When it becomes thick remove it, lick 10 grams of it every day for
improving the memory power.
